What happens in a treatment? After taking a consultaion I will leave you to undress (keeping knickers on) and lay on the luxurious couch with fresh clean towels to cover you. You just need to lay back, relax and unwind and enjoy the experience.
What do I wear for the treatment? We recommend you wear soft comfortable clothing, which is easy to take on and off. Please note you may have some oil left on your skin at the end of the treatment.
How Many Treatments will I need? You can have as many treatments as you like, depending on what suits you best. I would recommend having at least 2 days in between massage treatments, to allow your body to heal.
What are the contrindications of massage? There some contraindications which prevent or restrict you in having a massage treatment. These will be discussed in your consultation, but I thought it would be helpful to list them here so you are aware before you come. Virus/Bacterial/Fungal Infections - No treatment until clear. High Fever (38 degrees celsius or above) - No treatment until normal temperature resumes. Stroke/Heart Attack No treatments until you are past the acute phase of the condition and have signed conformation from doctor. Skin Conditions - Depending on the condition, some will prevent you having a treatment some conditions will restrict certain areas of the body from having the massage. We can discuss. Pregnancy - There are a number of massage contrindications relating to pregnancy which could prevent or restrict treatment, this can be discussed on a one to one basic. Cancer - If you are undergoing treatment for Cancer massage is not recommended. Recent Scarring - Scarring less than 6 months massage is not recommended, we can discuss. Recent consumed Drugs/alcohol - Massage is not recommended if a person is under the infuence.
